It explores Western and non-Western notions of time and space, focusing closely on calendars and verb tenses.
It includes ¿Qué hoy es acá?, a poem about calendars and colonial traumas.
Originally written in Portuguese, it incorporates words in Kaqchikel, one of the many Mayan languages still spoken today.
The essay and poem were developed during the Lastro Centro-América residency in Guatemala in 2015, and were first published in Brazil in 2017.
They were also part of live performances by the author at art exhibitions in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. This is the first Spanish edition.
