the þit was a temporary private reserve of natural heritage at a 1200m2 rented lot in the small town of Oer-Erkenschwick, in the Ruhrgebiet, west of Germany. In its center there was an old caravan with three crypto-currency mining rigs in operation: the Miner Giant. the þit brought another type of mining to that former mining region as well as some activity to that sub-used space.
For 4 months, the þit was open as a public park for community meetings, workshops, while it generated financial resources that funded activities in that space. This self-sufficient model envisions possibilities for the future economy and also explores underground myths and historical narratives of that location, thus linking past and future into prophecies and riddles

the þit foi um parque público temporário, inaugurado como uma reserva particular de propriedade natural em um lote alugado de 1200m2 na pequena cidade de Oer-Erkenschwick, na região do Ruhrgebiet, oeste da Alemanha. No centro do lote havia um velho trailer, onde três minas de criptomoedas foram instaladas: o Gigante Minerador. the þit trouxe um outro tipo de mineração para aquela que já foi uma importante região de exploração de minérios, assim como alguma atividade para aquele espaco sub-utilizado.
Ao longo de 4 meses, the þit esteve aberto ao público para encontros e oficinas, enquanto produzia recursos monetários para o financiamento das atividades realizadas naquele espaço. Este modelo de sistema autossuficiente imagina possibilidades na economia e também explora narrativas mitológicas e históricas daquela região, conectando assim passado e futuro em profecias e enigmas.

The þit, a project in collaboration with Pedro Victor Brandão, was part of the Archipel In√est, curated by KUNSTrePUBLIK, and organized by Urbane Kuenste Ruhr. The þit's first development stage, comprising research on-site, took place throughout September 2013. The actual implementation took place in the first semester of 2014, in the city of Oer-Erkenschwick, Germany.

The þit, projeto em parceria com Pedro Victor Brandão, foi parte do Archipel In√est, com curadoria do coletivo KUNSTrePUBLIK, e organizado por Urbane Künste Ruhr. A primeira etapa de desenvolvimento deThe þit's, que incluiu pesquisa no local, aconteceu em setembro de 2013. A implementação do projeto ocorreu no primeiro semestre de 2014, na cidade de Oer-Erkenschwick, Alemanha.
