Isto É Real (This is not a drill) is a commentary about the precarity of artists'work.

There were only the emergency lights on. The room was empty. On the floor, there were piles of paper with the text written by curator Keyna Eleison Van de Beuque.

The Espaço Cultural Sergio Porto is part of Rio de Janeiro city public spaces.

The emergency lights were already there, they had been installed by the City Hall a couple of months before, when all the city's theaters were closed due to a lack of documentation from the Fire Department. In order to reopen the Espaço Cultural Sergio Porto, they installed these devices. However, they are far too many, considering the size of the building, and they are not suited for the space because they are way too powerful. This shows that public money was badly spent. These devices are usually used for big industrial plants. On the other hand, the budget for this exhibition is less than the cost of the two devices within the exhibition room. This is real.

O Espaço Cultural Sergio Porto é um equipamento cultural da Prefeitura do Rio de Janeiro.

Foram usados apenas equipamentos luminosos do próprio espaço, que haviam sido instalados recentemente pela prefeitura após o fechamento dos teatros do Rio de Janeiro por falta de alvará do Corpo de Bombeiros. Com potência demais e em quantidade demais para o tamanho do lugar, as luzes instaladas demonstram um gasto público desproporcional. O orçamento para a realização desta exposição é menor do que o custo das duas luzes de emergência que estão na sala. Estas luzes serviriam para iluminar grandes áreas industriais. Isto é real.
